AidMotion.com is operated by AidMotion ("we", "us"), 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, and we handle it under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information we collect
We collect: account information (email, name) when you sign up; donation information (amount, campaign, payment method last-four) when you donate; charity application information (legal documents, registration numbers) when you apply as a charity; and standard analytics data (IP address, browser, pages viewed).
How we use your information
We use your information to process donations, generate receipts, communicate with you about your donations or campaigns, verify charity applications, and improve the platform. We do not sell your information to third parties.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, request deletion of your account, and opt out of marketing communications at any time. Contact privacy@aidmotion.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), the UK's data protection regulator.
Who processes your data and where
We use service providers to run AidMotion: Vercel (website hosting and file storage), Neon (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery) and Google (only if you choose to sign in with Google). Charities receive the details of donations made to their campaigns. Some of these providers store or process data in the United States. When personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law provides for international transfers, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
