For donors

What does "0% platform fee" actually mean?
AidMotion never deducts a platform fee from donations. The only mandatory deduction is Stripe's payment processing fee (typically 2.9% + $0.30). Donors can optionally cover this fee so the charity receives the full amount.
What's the optional tip for?
Tips fund AidMotion's operations — engineering, manual verification, and customer support — so we can keep the platform free for charities. Tipping is optional and any amount you choose goes to AidMotion, not the charity.
Will I get a tax receipt?
Yes. A receipt is emailed to you within 60 seconds of a successful donation. You can also download a PDF copy from your account at any time. Tax deductibility depends on the charity's status in your country.

For charities

How does charity verification work?
We manually review every charity application within 3–5 business days. We require legal registration documents, bank verification, and ID for an authorized representative.
When do charities receive their funds?
Funds are transferred to the charity's connected Stripe account immediately when a donation succeeds. Stripe then pays out to the charity's bank account on its standard schedule (typically 2–7 business days).
